That is often our idea, — that we must reform somebody else; but if we could bring ourselves to feel that weeding our own garden, and watering our own plants, and fulfilling our own vocation is what God requires of us, how much better it would be for the entire Church of Christ.—Spurgeon

Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvinism

This is an excellent look at the history and theology of Calvinism. The debate really centers on the issue of free-will of man versus the depravity of man. Although Calvinism is a term associated with the Reformers, the debate over free-will and total depravity goes back to the early church. This video traces these doctrines from the early church to the present. The video shows how the church has always battled against the heresies of free-will theology and how the church has always considered it a serious threat to the gospel.
